Celebrating GISday

Engaging and Inspiring Everyone with Smart and Easy to Use Apps

GISday is a global event in which users of GIS technology open their doors to schools, businesses and the public to showcase real-world applications of this exciting technology. The first GISday was launched by Esri president and co-founder Jack Dangermond in 1999 to promote sharing of spatial information and GIS knowledge.

This year Esri Rwanda GISday will focus on new insightful technologies around simple and easy to create geo-apps. Esri’s smart apps allow experts and novices alike to explore and understand their data faster, making better maps with more confidence and less effort. From the intuitive Web AppBuilder to the insightful Operation Dashboard for ArcGIS, and from amazing Story Map to the Workforce for ArcGIS, the Esri Rwanda team will show you how the new world of GIS Apps is changing the spatial access for experts and the public to support planning and development.
